We take customer privacy and communication frequency seriously at MiGym. To that end, we have put together these specific guidelines to avoid communication overload, and help provide an exceptional member experience through the app.

Your app platform provides the capability of sending push notifications to your members any time you want. These notifications are text-based. Links can be included to direct members to your website and/or special offer pages.
We strongly suggest you only send the most important and time-sensitive notices to your members via this channel. Sending too many notifications can lead to fatigue and negatively affect the relationship between your members and your brand. On the other hand, your members will be pleased to learn about a new monthly fitness challenge or to save themselves a drive to the club if the pool is closed for the day.
Types of notifications we recommend sending:
- Weather-related outages
- Facility closures
- Occasional promotions with broad relevance
Announcements are a powerful marketing channel and are enabled for most apps we highly recommend using it! Be sure to follow the style guidelines below and do your best to produce professionally-designed announcements for the app. We suggest you regularly refresh your announcements to avoid stale messaging. Changing your announcements every few weeks is appropriate.
Upload the images that you want to appear in the Announcements tab of your app. Images can be hosted anywhere on the web but should be 640x680 pixels max. PNG, JPG and GIF are the supported file types. You may already be creating promotional flyers in an 8x10 format. Most MiGym clients just shrink these down to fit into a 640-pixel width and they look great!
*Refer a friend campaigns require two images. The image you show the member and the image that the member sends out to their social network or to their friends.
Its important to review the instructions for canceling and updating a class. Knowing how to update your schedule and effectively communicate class changes with members will alleviate member disappointment and frustration.
